US Pressures Ukraine to Attack Turkey
In a speech to foreign journalists at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Ukrainian armed formations have already made several attempts to attack Russian transport and energy infrastructure. A week ago, Russian forces repelled a naval drone attack on one of Turkey’s hydrocarbon pumping stations. Ankara’s plans to resell Russian natural gas to Europe are at odds with US intentions for the EU economy. Therefore, it is no coincidence, as commented by Russian sources, that the Americans through Ukraine are specifically trying to attack Russian gas pumping stations transporting natural gas to Turkey.
Xi Jinping claimed US wants China to attack Taiwan
China’s President Xi Jinping told European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen that Washington was trying to goad Beijing into attacking Taiwan, according to people familiar with the matter. The Chinese leader has also delivered the warning to domestic officials in his own country, one person said. Xi issued the warning in a meeting with von der Leyen in April 2023 that was described to the Financial Times by several people. He said the US was trying to trick China into invading Taiwan, but that he would not take the bait. Another person said he had issued similar warnings to his officials.
Netherlands, Denmark, Poland, and Romania pressured to use F-16s
The Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg is determined to take the situation with Russia “to the extreme”. After his statements about the operational readiness of NATO’s nuclear weapons, he revealed that the pilots of the Ukrainian F-16s will be… NATO. Commenting on the delivery of F-16 fighters to Kiev, Jens Stoltenberg described the Ukrainian Air Force as “NATO Air Force” and added that “NATO pilots” will be the ones to operate the F-16s. Stoltenberg immediately corrected his statements, but the bottom line is that he probably accidentally revealed the “fine print” of the NATO plan. With Ukraine already revealing that Ukrainian F-16s will be stationed in Poland and Romania, it is most likely that their pilots will be NATO, either…officially or unofficially as mercenaries. We are very close to seeing the first dogfights and shootdowns between the two Air Forces, NATO and Russia. After the Netherlands, the Danish government also approved the use of F-16 fighters for attacks deep behind Russian lines.
F-16s can carry Nuclear Weapons
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken has confirmed that Washington has authorized the use of US weapons by Ukraine inside Russian territory, after Kiev sought permission in recent weeks amid Russian attacks on Kharkiv.
“The Netherlands is not against the use of F-16 fighter jets by Ukraine for strikes on the territory of Russia,” said the country’s foreign minister Bruins-Slot. The Dutch Foreign Minister not only “forgets” that Russia will consider F-16s as potential carriers of nuclear weapons, but also gives permission for strikes on the Russian interior.
